Adekunle God - Surrenda

The name is probably the most popular artiste' name in Nigeria when you talk about home front love songs. Adekunle Gold who came into lime light after dropping back-back multiple Hits. The relationship between the artiste and YBNL Music may have expired as the new video has URBAN RECORDS as his new Label.

Today, the 15th of June 2018, Adekunle drops the visuals to his most recent single titled "Surrenda". The video, as all his earlier videos is as crisp as expected.

What i love most about this video is its relative simplicity. Most artistes would want to plunge unnecessary budget into a music video project. But Adekunle Gold; he knows better than to such. It is just few hours ago that he released the video on his YouTube Channel and it has already gotten over 3000 views. It shows how good the video must be.

You will notice that it is a two cast video as well. Most Ballard songs music videos do not usually need much casts. Most directors sir that it makes work easier and they just concentrate on the artiste and his performance. Adekunle Gold didn't miss any detail during the shoot. He was charismatic, real, convincing and brilliant. This visual would definitely endear him more to his teaming fans. I Love Him.

The concept is simple and captivating. We would like to see more videos like this one from the indigenous singer/song writer and photographer.  

We did some interviews; asking people what they think about the song and the video, and most of them gave positive rating to the material. Though some the people felt that they enjoy him more when he does those conscious songs; those once that gets the mind leaping for joy and satisfaction. Even though they like "Surrenda", they still insist that it is Adekunle Gold's worse material. They do not like the video and song, but they will forever love Adekunle. . 

My personal opinion remains that this young artiste is still going to be contributing immensely to Africa's music industry. No doubts, he is going to be here for more decades to come. Thumbs up to bro....

Like Don Jazzy, the artiste seems to be married to the game; so he is not a hurry to tie the nots any time soon. You can name several artistes like him who would rather have a baby mama over a wife. They want babies, they do not want to get married.
